Betty Newman Wauer, a seventh-generation Texan, passed away in April 2013. She was a member of both "The Descendents of Austin's Old 300" and "Daughters of the Republic of Texas." She was extremely proud of her ancestors, especially the Texas Rabbs. She wrote a family newsletter called The Texas Rabbs for eight years with an average of seventy-¿ ve subscribers per year.
