Sammy carefully stocks his acorns in the big tree by the lake, which holds everyone's nuts for the winter and is protected day and night by guards. But before he goes to the tree, Sammy gathers his nuts and places them in a pile on the ground. When he gets tired, he takes a break under the big bank tree. But while he is taking a nap, Chet the Chipmunk decides to put a sneaky plan in motion to steal the nuts that Sammy worked so hard to collect. Can he keep his winter food supply safe?

In this children's tale, an industrious, hardworking squirrel discovers that a lazy, thieving chipmunk is stealing his winter food supply.
