In 1960, he and his new wife moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he began work on his Master of Divinity at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. After completing his degree, he moved back to Mississippi to begin a ministry at Sandersville.
Reverend Kellar is a former Executive Director of the Brevard Library Foundation in Cocoa, Florida. He currently lives with his wife in Merritt Island, Florida. He has two grown children, a son, Kent, and a daughter, Kimberly. He is the proud grandfather of two girls, Phoebe and Madison.
