Authors Note:-
I am horrified and distraught as I witness increasing WASTE in the 21st Century.
Waste of Money. Waste of Time. Waste of Commonsense... Mind.
Also increasing obesity... plus medical and device dependency.
I felt compelled to share shortcuts and life habits I have learned throughout my life in the hope it may help others to save Money, Time and consequently their Minds.
I was born in Ceduna Hospital on the far west of Eyre Peninsular in South Australia quite a few decades ago. (1940)
I lived on a large mixed farm with my parents west of Ceduna on the edge of the Nullarbor Plains until I was 19 years old.
There was no water; no power; no telephone; no nearby shops.
No Higher education.
Television wasn't even a dream.
We had to be self-sufficient; and were: comfortably so.
When I moved to the city of Adelaide as an uneducated 19 year old who had never been employed, I worked as a lowly shop assistant in the basement of Myer Department Store.
I relished in the luxury of city living; of running water in the home, light and power at the flick of a switch, chatting on the telephone and shopping in a seemingly endless variety of exciting shops.
I consciously became wasteful.
It was the way of living.
I was a city girl now.
I must live the lifestyle expected of city folks.
I soon adapted, lavishly so....
But my upbringing had deep seated roots which slowly emerged fifty years later as I witnessed the swing back to eco living.
Now in the 21st Century I see a wasteful throw-away society and people struggling to live a healthy natural lifestyle.
I hope the practical everyday hints in this book 'Saving! Money! Time! Mind!' may help readers adjust to a healthier sustainable lifestyle.
Money! There is never enough of it. By adapting these simple everyday habits readers will be surprised how much more money they have.
Time: SO Precious. It cannot be bought or saved; see the many simple ways to use it wisely.
Mind: Be Positive. Commonsense Rules... read how.
I have, over the years, integrated the thoughts and methods in this book into my everyday life. They are now my normal lifestyle.
I know they work. I am fit, still play competitive squash. I am healthy, don't take any medications; and I keep an active mind.
If I can change my lifestyle anyone can!
Give it a Go!
You have nothing to lose... and the rewards will be staggering.
