The scientific connection between Palestine and Egypt dates back to the first century AH, and continued into the Abbasid era, even though the Abbasids neglected Palestine for political reasons, but it became closer during the era of the Fatimids, the Ayyubid state, and the Mamluks. During the Turkish era, scientific centers moved to Anatolia and Rumeli, and Islamic science centers in Palestine weakened. . However, Al-Azhar remained the major bond between the two countries, and the ties intensified when Ibrahim Pasha conquered Palestine and took control of it (1830-1840 AD), so it became affiliated with Egypt. It is rare to find a Palestinian scholar, jurist, or writer since the fourth century AH who did not study at Al-Azhar or did not study under one of its scholars. . The author intended in this letter to briefly mention the Palestinian scholars and jurists who were educated in Egypt, settled in it, or came to it, and the Egyptian scholars who resided in Palestine and studied in its institutes and had a noticeable scientific connection with the country.
