Produktbeschreibung
In this book Frank Reidy follows the journey of the Ark from Jerusalem to Ethiopia. He goes through the history and the folklore surrounding the Ark in legend and comes to a new understanding of the Ark of the Covenant, its status and its importance to Ethiopia. The reader joins Frank on his journey and gains new insights into a country that we rarely hear about except in the context of famine and strife. In sharp contrast to this we find a country and a people full of laughter and joy, nobility, faith and friendship. The story goes that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments on the top of Mount Sinai. The Israelites made a golden vessel to hold the stone tables on which the Ten Commandments were written. This Ark of the Covenant was brought to Jerusalem where it was kept in the Temple at Shiloh for hundreds of years. But where did it go after that? The Ark seems to have disappeared into thin air. But rumours survived that the Ark was brought to Ethiopia.
