Seeking Cassandra evolved naturally for Lutricia Clifton, as she spent much of her childhood growing up in the Texas Panhandle. Palo Duro Canyon was a favorite recreational retreat for her family. Clifton now lives in northern Illinois and focuses on spending quality time with family and writing fiction. Her first novel for young readers, Freaky Fast Frankie Joe, received glowing reviews and was named an IRA Children's Choice Book and a Texas Bluebonnet Master List title.
