Autorenporträt
Sherry Ramrattan Smith Ph.D. enjoyed a variety of careers in the field of education. She was a schoolteacher, curriculum writer, and professional development leader for teachers. Her research interests in curriculum and social justice led her to work with faculties and boards of education. She was also employed with the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario. Sherry was born in San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies. After immigrating to Canada with her family at the age of 12, she lived in the Ontario communities of Jarvis, Salford, Ingersoll, Kitchener-Waterloo, St. Catharines, and Toronto. At retirement, Sherry and her family moved to Kelowna, British Columbia. Sherry continues to pursue her research interests, write stories, spend time with her family, and sing songs to her Welsh Corgi, Sparky.
