Autorenporträt

Seán Ó Ríordáin, was one of the great poets of the twentieth century. He was born in Ballyvourney in the Muskerry Gaeltacht on the 3rd of December, 1916 and it was there that he spent the early days of his youth. Later, he moved to Cork to attend school in the city and he lived in the city for most of the rest of his life. He worked as a journalist and wrote regular columns for the Irish Times. He died in 1977.
