Dr. K. Venkata Lakshmi Narayana is currently a Professor of School of Electrical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India. He received the BTech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India in 2001, and the MTech in Electrical Engineering from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, India in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in Instrumentation engineering from the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in 2013. He achieved both his BTech and MTech with distinction. He is also the recipient of the Gold Medal in 2016 for his outstanding academic performance in MTech at MNNIT, Allahabad.He has 18 years of experience in both teaching and research. He had completed one research project entitled "Design and Development of Smart Level and Pressure Transmitters for Ethiopian Chemical Industrial Processes" funded by Ministry of Science of Technology, Ethiopia as a principal investigator. He rendered administrative services towards the constant maintenance of academic programs and instructional delivery as 'program chair' for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, 'division chair' for division of Industrial Automation and Instrumentation in School of Electrical Engineering, VIT University, Vellore, India from 15th June, 2013 to 4th January, 2016. He is supervising PhD students (four PhDs have been awarded and one are on-going) and he supervised 15 Dissertation at P.G level and also supervised more than 30 undergraduate students for their final year projects. As a published researcher, He has authored or co-authored over 50 research papers (05 papers in IEEE Sensors Journals and 06 more in other SCI journals) and published in various peer reviewed journals, book chapters and conferences of International repute. He has reviewed a good number of research papers of IEEE Access, IET Science, Measurement & Technology, Journal of Engineering Science and Technology (JESTEC) and Recent Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His interests are in the area of sensors and signal conditioning, measurements, wireless sensor networks, optimization, process instrumentation and virtual instrumentation. Dr. P. Uma Sathyakam is working as Assistant Professor in School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore since 2012, from where he did his MS (by Research) in Nanoelectronics and VLSI in 2011 and his PhD in Nanoelectronics in 2018. Prior to this, he did is BSc. Electronics from University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram in 2005 and MSc. Applied Electronics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore with distinction and Gold medal in 2007. He served as a Research Fellow in a MHRD sponsored project on 'Development of online Lab in Microelectronics and VLSI' at VIT. He was also a Research Associate during his MS at VIT. He has more than 13 years of teaching and research experience.His current research interests are Nano-electrodes for supercapacitors, VLSI interconnects, Carbon nanotube electronics, Graphene, Electronic materials and Renewable energy materials. He has authored 3 books and 25 papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences. He is also a peer reviewer for many journals. He has reviewed more than 75 papers for journals from IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, IET, Nature, Taylor & Francis, TransTech Publishers, and Wiley. He is a Senior Member of IEEE EDS/EPS.
