Kacy Carter writes from her experience as a mom of teenage daughters. She got her idea for Set to Serve from watching the interactions of girls on her daughter's volleyball team. The book is meant to be entertaining for girls who love sports, but Kacy also hopes the book will encourage them to know that being different and even imperfect can be used for good.
