Autorenporträt
Mr. Forrest was born in a log house. He grew up in the Tickfaw River swamp in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, and graduated from Springfield High School. After being discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, he was employed by an international corporation. He returned to Louisiana to visit his dying father only to be accused of a crime.
