Seven Fires
Ian Stewart believed that his academic days were long behind him. It had been many years since he had thought about graduate school back in Manitoba or the Anthropology research that he had done there. For decades he had lived in North Vancouver in British Columbia and his life consisted of running a fishing tackle store and getting in as many days fishing as he could.

Then the phone rang and a voice from the past brought back some memories of an incident he had long forgotten. An old professor back in Manitoba needed his help and Ian flew to Winnipeg to do what he could. He became tangled in a mystery that intertwined Anishinabe (Ojibwe) sorcery, high tech espionage, multiple deaths and the potential to rewrite history.

Autorenporträt
George was born and raised in Manitoba. He obtained an MA in Anthropology from the University of Manitoba. He left Manitoba in the early 1970's to work on a post-graduate degree in archaeology. While at Simon Fraser University he continued to pursue his true vocation fly fishing. After teaching anthropology and archaeology at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, he did an eight-year stint as the editor of BC Outdoors Magazine and was the founding editor of Action Outdoors Magazine. After he left the magazine business in the late 1990's, he was involved in the development of digital photography programs in Alaska and later the Lower 48. That all ended in tears, so he retreated to Kamloops, BC where he does some freelancing and has contributed to several fly fishing books. George may frequently be seen lobbing flies from his boat at favorite lakes such as Jacko, Stump and Peterhope. He has flung flies in Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico and in many states and provinces. He is still looking for that elusive woman who fly fishes, hunts, enjoys good Scotch and preferably owns a distillery.
