Seven sisters are torn from everything they know when both of their parents die in a horrific car accident. Sierra, the oldest, must train to fight and find all her sisters before the evil comes.

The shadow daemon lunged at Sierra; red eyes burned through her soul as his outstretched claws reached for her. He grinned wide to show off blooded pointy teeth as he connected with her tender flesh and tore her belly open. Sierra fell to the ground once again, watching the daemon disappear.
"You're dead!" Jordan yelled at her. "Get up, do it again."
Sierra swore under her breath as she jumped up from the ground. She stood and splayed her legs apart to get her balance, and then she called out to her powers, called to the earth and all its secrets, called to the air to stand at her back. The ground shook and rumbled. Sierra squatted now to dig her hands in the solid ground beneath her; she pulled and called to the minerals in the soil, willing them to her, using her mind to shape them to form a spear. She pulled with all her might, and just as another daemon formed and lunged toward her, she yanked the spear out of the heady earth, leapt from her squat, and plunged that spear straight into the daemon's heart. The daemon's scream vibrated in the air around her, and then he vanished in a puff of black smoke. Sierra fell to the ground once again, this time, spent.
