The folk retellings include beloved tales such as: Seven Thousand Emeralds, The Legend of Mt. Makiling, A Secret in Makiling, The Mermaid and Kanag, The Legend of Siete Pecados, The Haunted Dakit Tree, and Bolak Sonday: The Woman Warrior. This childre's book was first published by PAWWA in 1992. This 2022 reprint is by PALH (Philippine American Literary House).
