Autorenporträt
Veleta Hayles lives in London and has two children. She was born in Clarendon, Jamaica and has worked in social care for most of her working life. Veleta holds a BA (Hons) MA degree in Creative Writing from Teesside University. As well as writing short stories, articles, blogs and poems, Veleta is the author of The Depth of Mischief and Going Places. Seventy-Two Hours in Ghana, a story steeped in the traditions of Ghanaian life, is her latest fictional work. Veletäs hobbies include being outdoors, walking, keeping fit, reading, and in addition to writing she runs a successful creative writing group and classes on writing poetry and [creative writing]. She also hosts a weekly podcast, ¿Hints for Writing Your Novel¿. Veleta plans is to undertake studies that will boost her writing. Veleta was awarded Best Writing Services Online Platform 2023 by SME [an online] magazine which gives recognition to Small and Medium Enterprises in the UK.
