In the summer of 1932, future Baseball Hall of Famer Chick Hafey came to the small Ontario town of Port McNicoll to regain his health. He was sent by his manager with the Cincinnati Reds, Dan Howley, to stay with the family of Howley's longtime fishing buddy Jim Shaw. This is a recreation of the events which led up to Hafey spending time in the Great Lakes grain, passenger, and railway hub.
