Autorenporträt
Don Howell has been investigating sexually motivated crimes for over 25 years. He received his B.S. degree from California State University at Los Angeles in 1973. In 1981 Don was assigned to the Detective Bureau's Crimes Against Persons Unit, specializing in sex crimes and child abuse. He found his calling as a detective, developing his interviewing and case management skills, while working a wide variety of cases, including thousands of child abuse, molestations, rapes and murders. The day he retired in 2003 his agency rehired him as a part time detective catching sex offenders. Don teaches victim and suspect interviewing skills at the University of Southern California's (USC) Delinquency Control Institute. He has received numerous awards, including the Sustained Achievement Award, from the California Sexual Assault Investigators Association. Don's teaching evaluations always include comments like, "I can actually use this" and "He tells use what to say/ask, it's not all theory."
