Autorenporträt
In 1993 Les began a career as a Correctional Officer at one of the largest County Jails in the United States, which is where he discovered that many of the 10,000 detainees that were incarcerated had chosen very similar paths and had made similar choices, and that those choices had led them to jail. Armed with this information, Les began speaking to at risk kids and providing tours through the County Jail in an effort to redirect teens away from destructive paths. Les provided hope to thousands of kids who needed direction during hopeless times. Over the next 2 decades, Les would become a voice of inspiration and hope that continues to empower many to dream again. Les developed the parental guidance program "Shaping the Lives of our Children", which is currently available in more than 150 Public Schools at no cost to the schools. The program has been presented in public forums and continues to give parents that additional insight necessary to develop productive and driven individuals. Les is the owner and founder of "ITC Consulting and Training, LLC", which provides corporate training, consulting, and professional development coaching. He graduated from Chicago State University and is a state certified instructor in more than 20 subjects. Les is currently a Detective, Crime Scene Investigator, and Juvenile Specialist with a County Sheriff's Police Department. As a state certified juvenile officer, Les has been able to offer troubled juveniles an optional path and direct them away from incarceration and criminal records. Les is married and has four children, 3 of which are college students, a 13 year old, a son-in-law, and a grandson. Les is a dynamic motivational speaker and is active in his community and in the church, where he continues to spread his belief that "Strong Families build Strong Communities!"
