Malia B. Crandall faced one significant trauma after another from the time she was born. She first experienced physical and emotional abuse from her mother and grandmother; before she even entered school, she suffered ongoing sexual abuse that taught her to choose the wrong kind of men in her life, which resulted in a long-term marriage marred by unrelenting abuse. Malia was finally able to go to therapy and work on the ghosts from her past. She now resides in Salt Lake City with her current husband of more than a decade and is living her happily ever after.
