William Stephens was born and raised in the hills of Kentucky. He was active in basketball and track in high school, served in the U.S. Marines in communications, and became a believer in Jesus Christ as an adult. He began to study the Bible himself at church and at Moody Bible Institute. He taught Bible classes in church groups for 40 years or more. He is married to Judy. He is the author of How to Get to Heaven and Back.
