"I am self-taught in every aspect of my life." Reflecting on his career success, he seeks to honor his accomplishments in the face of adversity, having achieved national success as a furniture designer with little more than ingenuity and determination. "I don't necessarily perceive this as a book about recovery, although it could be," Revland said. "I see it more as a testament to hard work and perseverance."
