Jeremy Coulton, a native of St Helens, UK, emerged from the vibrant streets of Lancashire, now Merseyside, into a world of mischievous charm. Born to Rose and John Coulton, with siblings Gary, Debra, and Linda, Jeremy's childhood was filled with a love for American classics, from Fred Astaire to Laurel and Hardy. His parents' eclectic record collection sparked a lifelong passion for music of all genres.

Not quite the academic, Jeremy preferred gazing out of classroom windows, dreaming of the adventures ahead. After navigating Cowley High School, where daydreams prevailed over qualifications, he encountered the absurdity of a Youth training scheme that failed to deliver its promises. A stint at Knowsley Safari Park, tending to the Monkey jungle, revealed the unexpected intrigue of work.

Jeremy's academic journey continued at St Helens College, earning him a degree in drama from Bretton Hall, followed by an MA at Goldsmiths University. Along the way, a BBC escapade with an international collage proved to be a stitch-up, courtesy of entities unrelated to the author. A detour through The Disney Corporation and community charities eventually led him to Camden Council.
