Since Sir Walter, the Earl of Karother, is never invited to play in the town band, he assumes that none of his subjects like him. And the townsfolk, never seeing Sir Walter, assume that he doesn't care about them. Then one day, a horrible noise filters down from the Earl's castle. And it takes one brave young girl to find out what it is!
From the award winning author of the Commander Josh series and Escape into the Mall, Donna LeBlanc explains to young readers the importance of being honest and caring and most importantly, of not making any assumptions!

Autorenporträt
In her own life adventures Donna LeBlanc studied music and musical theatre, became a wife, worked in corporate America, served as a mentor and as a children's choir director, and created her own business in faux finishing and interior decorating.

Donna began writing children's poetry in 2009. While observing her nephew act out the characters he watched on TV, Donna was inspired to recreate a story she had written years ago about a boy who played with his toys while sitting in a laundry basket.

As a child, Donna had always dreamed of becoming a teacher. And as a piano instructor for the past two decades, she has achieved her dream. Donna loves her "piano families" and is extremely proud of their continuous contributions to the community. When she is not inspiring her students and finding new destinations for Commander Josh, Donna is managing her decorating business, is a mentor at a local elementary school, and an executive board member on the town's business council.

Donna currently resides in New Hartford, Connecticut with her husband, her brother, and two dog daughters, Sophie and Rosa.

Donna says, "I try to be compassionate and to inspire those I meet. Compassion is a powerful gift we can freely give to each other. And the inspiration that we receive helps to remind us that we never know what our potential is until we test our abilities."
