Varadaraja V. Raman Ph.D. (University of Paris) is Emeritus Professor of Physics and Humanities at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY. He was elected Senior Fellow at the Metanexus Institute (Philadelphia, USA), and Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion (Cambridge, UK). He is a recipient of the Raja Rao Award from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi, India), and of the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Institute on Religion in an Age of Science (IRAS). Currently, he is serving as President of IRAS.
