This sketchbook is a collection of sketches of the Rocky Mountains done by Canadian landscape artist, Mary Lou Crerar. In her work, Crerar captured the vastness of the mountain landscape.
Contending with cold weather and curious visitors, both human and animal, Crerar and four other intrepid artists took to the alpine trails to capture the changing moods of the mountain range. The book consists of 15 images of the mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests that Crerar painted as sketches during her hikes. It includes notes from Crerar's journal about what happened while she did the sketches as well as the type of paper and paints she used.
