Auteur de best-sellers sur Amazon, Owen Jones, originaire de Barry, au Pays de Galles, a vécu dans plusieurs pays et en a visité beaucoup d`autres. Dans les années 70, alors qu`il étudiait le russe en URSS, il côtoyait régulièrement des espions. Après ses études universitaires, au Suriname, il a été impliqué dans le coup d`État de 1982, où il a été accusé d`être un mercenaire. Il a ensuite rejoint, alors qu`il était chef d`entreprise, un équipage de quatre personnes en tant que cuisinier pour embarquer, de Barry à Gibraltar, à bord d`un yacht en béton de fabrication artisanale, pendant l`opération Tempête du désert. En plein milieu de son voyage, le yacht a failli être éperonné par un pétrolier russe et par un porte-avions américain, l`Atlantic Challenger. Il a vécu depuis 2004 principalement au Royaume-Uni, en Espagne et en Thaïlande. Il mène aujourd`hui une vie un peu plus tranquille dans le village agricole isolé de sa femme, situé dans le nord du pays, où il écrit, édite et multiplie les traductions et les narrations de ses romans.
