Autorenporträt
Dan Lewis is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, a former President of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and the recipient of the 2012 World Small Animal Veterinary Association-Hill's Pet Mobility Award. He has authored or co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications. His special interests include musculoskeletal traumatology, fracture management and reconstructive orthopedic surgery with a focus on the utilization of circular and hybrid external skeletal fixation for fracture stabilization, deformity correction and limb salvage procedures. Sorrel Langley-Hobbs is a Professor in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Bristol. She was awarded the BSAVA Simon Award in 2012 for outstanding contributions in the field of small animal surgery. She is involved in all aspects of canine and feline orthopaedics but she has a particular interest in feline orthopaedics. She has published widely on various orthopaedics topics, and she has co-edited a textbook on Feline Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Disease in 2009 and Feline Soft Tissue and General Surgery in 2013. She is regularly invited to talk on orthopaedic topics to vets both in the UK and abroad. Current research interests include fractures of the feline patella and feline osteoporosis.
