Born in Cardiff in 1943, Ruby Steele began her working career as a secretary in industry before changing direction into Facilities Management. She gained a degree in this from Strathclyde University whilst holding down her career. She retired in 2002 and has since busied herself with many interests and studies including photography, Tai-Chi, gardening, reading, walking and travelling the world. She has two children and currently lives happily in Wolverhampton with Ron, her partner of 22 years.
