Autorenporträt
Linda Aksomitis has been snowmobiling for nearly 40 years and spent a decade on snowmobile race tracks around North America. Her 2003 young adult novel, Snowmobile Challenge, was a finalist in the Saskatchewan Book Awards. It has been re-released in 2011 as an e-book. Her first nonfiction snowmobile book, Snowmobile Adventures: The incredible Canadian success story from Bombardier to the Villeneuves, is available in print and e-book formats. She also has a third snowmobile book, an illustrated history of the many forms of snowmobile racing, through Iconografix. Titled Illustrated Guide to Snowmobile Racing, it's available in print format through various bookstores. The book has 100 full color photos and 100 black and white, with all but three taken by Linda Aksomitis at snowmobile race tracks across North America. After publishing her first books in e-book format in 2000, Linda went on to publish 16 books with traditional publishers in five different countries. She has published fiction and nonfiction for readers of all ages, ranging from a picture book through to textbooks. Currently, she is self-publishing her out-of-print books, along with previously unpublished books, in e-book format. Linda is also a travel writer and photojournalist. Linda has a Masters degree in education and is an e-Instructor in the Library Technician program for Credenda Virtual High School & College. She also teaches online courses available through community colleges around the world: Introduction to Internet Writing Markets; Publish and Sell Your E-Books; and Write Effective Net Content (coming in 2014).
