Jeffrey Ethan Jessum is a clinical psychologist and long-time practitioner of Mindfulness Meditation. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from UCLA and his master's and PhD in clinical psychology from the California School of Psychology.
As a psychologist, Dr. Jessum has worked at the Veterans Hospital, Los Angeles, UCLA Neuropsychiatric institute, and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, as well as in a variety of outpatient settings. For the last 18 years he has been in private practice, serving a diverse clientele. He works with adults and couples as well as with children, adolescents and families, providing individual and group therapy, consultation and coaching. Dr. Jessum also does speaking engagements and consultation in the community on a wide variety of mental health and Mindfulness Meditation related topics.
In addition to being a psychologist Dr. Jessum is a writer, visual artist and musician. He lives and works in the Los Angeles area.
