It was through this work with The Innocence Project that she and Trip, along with their Dallas Police Department friends, Elliot and Smally, find themselves trying to free a wrongly convicted mother, find her idiotic husband, and dismantle a child sex trafficking operation. Their endeavors eventually take them to Puerto Rico where they meet a new ally, Ramon. Despite the subject matter, Something Wicked is a fun, upbeat read.
