Before the Wang Yue Fist won the Grand Tournament, before there was even a Wang Yue Fist, a young Imperial officer made the mistake of speaking out in front of the generals. He dared suggest the fight should be taken from the fields of battle to the mountain stronghold of the Red Turban rebels.

His punishment was swift and severe: he was commanded to journey to the Gong Mountains and fight the Red Turbans in the very lands of their birth!

Song of the Mountain Tiger tells the story of Zhang Yi Zhao, founder of both the Wang Yue Fist and the Wang Yue Security Service, as he leads a handful of stalwart soldiers into the frigid Gong Mountains to take the battle to the Red Turban rebels.

Autorenporträt
Michael Lauck was born after Star Trek but before Star Wars in St. Louis. There he grew up watching the Three Stooges, monster movies and the odd kung fu movie on KPLR-TV. At some point around the age of nine a chance encounter with the movie Billy Jack convinced him he needed to learn martial arts... It did not convince his parents, however. Parents can be like that. As such, he did not start his study of traditional Chinese martial arts until high school. He has yet to stop.

He now lives somewhere outside of Kansas City surrounded by his wife, daughters, various small mammals, books, movies, comics and Lego sets. He loves all of them.
