It experiments with modes of speech and also explores dialogue in its writing and as it encounters the philosophical utterances of (amongst others) Michel Serres, Isabelle Stengers, Jean-Francois Lyotard, Deleuze and Guattari and Alain Badiou. Sounding the Event continues the author's commitment to the practice of writing as a visual artist and, as it proposes that 'to think' is an event, it also invites both listening and laughter.
