D.E. Patterson is an author, global entrepreneur, and world traveler who lived in South Africa during Nelson Mandela's presidency. He personally witnessed how white South Africans responded to the new era of black people exercising their new found influence in government and business. Him being an American, he was able to compare South Africa's new era to difficulties in America when President Johnson passed the civil rights act ending segregation. He lives on St. Simons Island, Georgia USA.
