"I have always been interested in the dark at the edge of the light. The reality of the light and dark reality is both in the lit physical world as well as the more dimly lit world of our psyche's. What inhabits that place? What do we do when all that we know is not enough to explain what appears before us? I suppose the relationship between the dark and the light was solidified when I acquired a life threatening auto-immune disease that introduced me to unbearable pain and put me in a wheel chair for 4 years. Most of the short stories and poems in my books were written during that time. I have looked long and well into the dark, clear that it was to me my destination and have recovered and remain to tell more spooky stories."
