Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom is a fact-based and educational book series based on bedtime stories I told my daughter and son. Each night they would ask Daddy to tell them a story. After exhausting every variation of animal, astronaut, and princess stories I could come up with, one evening, I took notice of the globe that sat atop their dresser. I asked them to help me with a story topic and had them spin the globe! They would use their finger to stop the globe, and wherever their finger landed, I had to tell them an impromptu story about that particular country or area. This particular story of the series takes place on the island of St. Georges Caye in Belize. Frederick is joined by Kayab, a Mayan boy, and Hay, a Garinagu girl, who release two rehabilitated sea turtles into the sea and teach him all about the history, people, sites and marine and jungle animals of the Pearl of the Caribbean.

Ed Moldenhauer, author of the Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom is a retired United States Navy pharmacist and military intelligence analyst and is currently an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of pharmacy technicians. While having been published in several professional journals and co-writing The History of Pharmacy in the United States Navy, his true passion is honing up on "Ed's Useless Trivia" and to teach his children, Nicole and Eric, about every topic imaginable, sometimes to their chagrin. Ed currently lives in Burleson, Texas with his wife, Jo Ann, their children and dogs, Freckles and Cocoa. When he's not watching history shows or reading, he enjoys the outdoors, adventure races, cooking delicious meals and being out in the fresh air.
