Norman Keifetz, who has published six earlier novels, had plays produced, had entertained readers with many short stories, and is a surprising writer. This is a treat for readers who know his work and for those who come upon his writing for the first time. His recent novels, Unveiled Echoes and The Smoking Contest, were honored at book festivals in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Mr. Keifetz has lectured over the years on writing and the creative spirit at book festivals and seminars around the country in little and midsized cities-Las Cruces, New Mexico; Glen Falls, New York; Cincinnati, Ohio, to name some. He has also published literary criticism and poetry. The author served in the US Navy during wartime at the National Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.
