When the crows start taking over the cornfield Farmer John reminds Sterling of his job to scare them off. Sterling learns one day that he will never be able to scare the crows off. He has learned a new way to protect the corn and make the farmer proud.

My name is Brandi Marten and have a Masters degree in Educational Psychology. My 5 wonderful children have inspired me daily to write and take interest in producing books that have not yet been written for diverse populations. Having food allergies, speech issues, and different family dynamics growing up made it easy to come up with topics to write about. When our son, Kamden, started speech therapy we could not find any books about stuttering that were appropriate for a four year old. I began writing about Sterling to help him find ways to cope and not feel alone. I have since moved on to write about other diverse issues to include other children who may feel alone in their situation.
