Hello, my name is Richard Shine. I am a writer. I was born and raised in poverty and still in poverty. I live in Charleston SC. I was moved from NY as a child. I attended Baptist Hill High School. I finished in 1977 and in 1982 I became a writer. Why? Because of poverty, it became my way to escape all misery. I have been writing ever since and now I have books up to my ears.
