Autorenporträt

About the Author and Translator Jianhui Gao, male, born in July, 1950-he comes from Shouning County, Fujian Province, China. He has worked as an intellectual youth in his hometown and has been a primary school teacher. He graduated from the English Department, Ningde Teachers' Institute in the year 1980. In December of the year 2001, he passed the self-taught exam of the higher education of Education Ministry, majoring in English, becoming a graduate of regular college course. He taught English in the No. 4 Middle School, Jiangle County, Fujian Province until July, 2010. He has been out to grass since July, 2010. He has published some poems and prose in some journals and newspapers. He has published the poetry anthology of The Gracile, Long Neck of a Thing (Chinese to English), and A Collection of Short Stories by Jianhui Gao (Chinese to English). About the editor of the English translation Gregory Burguet, male, born in the 1970s-he is French. Now he is a high school teacher in a city in France and has obtained a master's degree in literature. He is also proceeding to the doctorate in literature. He gave some comments on the English translation, such as triviality of some plots in a few stories previously or prosiness somewhere, which had been omitted and replaced with the newness; he gave some revisions to the English translation.
