Autorenporträt
Rosalie Hill, has spent most of her life in Western Australia, helping her parents and then her husband develop new land to increase the family's business operations. The family farm in South Australia was set amongst the hills in the mid-north , and held many fond memories of grandparents and life in the sheep country. After a short working holiday around Australia, being employed as a telephonist, pay clerk and a teacher's college student, her career path then followed her husband's. Having been educated at an exclusive girl's college did not equip her for the basics of the 'new land farmer's' wife, but with five children to raise and educate, tractors and rakes to drive, and making a home in the end of a machinery shed, she was in the company of many others doing the same. Always it has been the love of the land that has motivated her life and ambitions.
