Stories of a Depleted Earth is a collection of three short stories featuring the journey of a few individuals who must navigate through a world where the government of Earth must invade other planets to get resources for their world.

"Modesto's Pub" follows a young resource hunter, Eric Banzer, who steals a precious artifact from one of the worlds he visits. Now the Earth's government is after him and he is forced to seek help from a friend in order to escape.

"Berserker Gloves" is a story that features a middle-aged hunter, Steven Shopker, who is facing an interrogation for something he thinks he did not do. As the interrogation continues, he learns of the horrors that the strange artifact he found yields.

"Rite of Hunt" is a story of the ruthless Captain, Jones, and his first adventure into another world. With two companions, he travels into the caves in order to get the precious minerals needed to fuel their Earth's endeavors.
