Every person has a story. Embodied in every story are narratives of pain and suffering as well as narratives of strength and resilience. This book guides therapists through the nine-step process of helping inner city youth tell their stories. Storiez unabashedly incorporates principles of social work practice into its theory and application. Ingrained in this intervention are the social work principles of the client's right to self-determination, a strengths-based perspective, individual empowerment, and cultural sensitivity.
