This textbook offers a comprehensive overview of the general section of criminal law. Its structure is twofold. The basic structures, which are essential for new students for gaining basic understanding, are firstly explained in detail and illustrated using numerous case studies. This is followed by selected problem areas for examination candidates; the main theories in science and practice are illustrated using case studies, and practice-relevant problems are clarified by means of a revision course. The overviews (structure and examination diagrams; problem areas) and definitions placed at the end have the same purpose.
