Barbara Neiger arbeitet weltweit als unabhängige leitende Prüferin (lead auditor) für verschiedene Zertifizierungsstellen und berät Organisationen bei der Entwicklung, Implementierung, Aufrechterhaltung und Verbesserung von Compliance-Management-Systemen. Als langjährige Leiterin der österreichischen Delegation im ISO/TC 309 Organizational Governance ist sie Mitautorin der ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Korruptionsmanagement-Systeme und der ISO 37301:2021 Compliance-Management-Systeme (Nachfolgestandard der ISO 19600). Auf nationaler Eben ist sie stellvertretende Vorsitzende des österreichischen Spiegel-Komitees (PC 265 Compliance-Management) zum ISO/TC 309 bei Austrian Standards International. Vor ihrer jetzigen Tätigkeit war die Autorin mehr als 20 Jahre in obersten Führungspositionen internationaler Finanzinstitutionen in der Region Mittel- und Osteuropa (CEE) tätig. Sie ist zertifizierter Compliance-Officer sowie IFC Certified Coach, studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Wien (1986), hält einen MBA in Executive Management der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (2006) und einen MA in Anti-Corruption-Studies der International Anti-Corruption Academy Laxenburg (IACA, 2014). Als Mitglied der Gastfakultät hält sie regelmäßig Vorlesungen an der IACA in den beiden Masterstudiengängen (IMACC und MACS) und in maßgeschneiderten Vorlesungen für spezielle Interessengruppen. Sie publiziert ausführlich über Compliance-Management-Systeme auf nationaler wie internationaler Ebene.
