If they meet--and touch--Maire remembers all past lives, and, to her chagrin and great sadness, Uilliam has no recollection of Maire or their lives intertwining over the centuries. Borneo, the French Revolution, a clipper ship around the Horn, the American West, the trenches of World War One, the days before Pearl Harbor, crashing across the ages to the present. Maire, now Marisa, is a high-powered American lawyer and Uilliam--Bill--is an ex-convict, now charged with murder. Can she save him? Will she risk her fortune and her very life to rescue him and spirit him away? Will history repeat itself once again for these star-crossed lovers? Will Uilliam ever recognize Maire? Autorenporträt

J.A. Greenleaf is a former sailor, Polar explorer, military officer, policeman and lawyer. He is a Michigan Master Lawyer.
His vast experience was essential to write Sudden Light, the complex story of Ulliam and Máire, lovers in ancient Ireland who died in Donegal Castle as it burned in 1589. The novel spans 400 years of both Irish and world history, events of great interest to Joe.
He personally investigated the facts of each event as the couple reincarnated through the centuries, careful that the circumstances and locales were historically accurate.
Joe has degrees in Political Science, minoring in English, a Juris Doctor in Law and a Masters of Law in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He is currently half-way through a Masters in Fine Arts in Fiction Writing.
He resides in Co Donegal, Ireland with his wife, Karlene. They also have a home in the Omaha, Nebraska, area.
He is a full-time author. Currently, he has completed two sequels to Sudden Light, (Rising Light and Shining Light, both to be published in 2014), XYY: The Dead of Winter, a legal crime novel, also to be published in 2014, six novels and a technical book about Asperger's Syndrome, entitled, "Tell Them I'm Not Crazy," to be published in 2014.
His book of photographs of Irish fairies, "Real Irish Fairies of Donegal" was published in 2013.
He is a member of the Irish Writers' Union.
