These lively and entertaining folk tales from one of Britain's most ancient counties are vividly retold by Kirsty Hartsiotis. Their origins lost in the oral tradition, these thirty stories from Suffolk reflect the wisdom (and eccentricities) of the county and its people. Suffolk has a rich and diverse collection of tales, from stories of the Orford merman and the green children of Woolpit to legends of sunken cities and demonic black dogs. These stories, illustrated with twenty-five line drawings, bring alive the landscape of the county's rich and fertile plains.
