I was born in Vancouver Canada and my parents moved to Australia when I was seven. My parents were not rich and did the best they could. I had a very happy upbringing with living memories that will last forever. Life took a turn at 40 when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I survived but lost my mother at this time. My marriage failed but always there for my children.
With my children growing up, I started working as an ex-pat in Papua New Guinea, Mali West Africa and Egypt. I am diagnosed with bowel cancer at 61 and had emergency surgery in Egypt but again survive.
I now live a simple but happy life in the Philippines. Why I survived I am not sure but ask the question many times but believe it is God's will.
I decided to write Survival and an Unexpected Life to help others from my life experience. The story was hard to write as it is written exactly how it was experienced but I have included humorous times.
