Autorenporträt
Joachim Buse received his PhD from the Institute of Infrastructure and Resources Management at the Faculty of Economics, Leipzig University. He started his professional career in 1986 with Lufthansa German Airlines in various purchasing functions and became Deputy Vice President Fuel Supply in 1992. In 1996, he left Lufthansa and became Managing Director of AFS Aviation Fuel Services GmbH, a joint venture company of Air BP, Shell and Lufthansa. In 2005, Joachim Buse returned to Lufthansa and became CPO of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. He retired from Lufthansa in 2016 and founded Adeptus Green Management GmbH, a consulting company for Sustainable Aviation Fuels and renewable energy projects. Joachim Buse was a co-founder and board member of aireg - Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany in 2011 and moved to aireg's advisory board in 2019. Since 2021, he has suported the HyKero project of EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH, Leipzig, dealing with the construction of a 50,000-ton commercial plant for production of PtL-kerosene based on hydrogen and natural carbon sources (e-SAF).
